  • Publication number: 20040079447
Abstract: The invention concerns a flame-cutting process for a parallelepiped slab using one or more flame-cutting blowtorches and a device for its implementation. In accordance with the invention, a slab, lying flat, is lifted using a lifting device to bring its primary plane into a vertical position, and hold it in a vertical position. A relative vertical movement is made between the flame-cutting blowtorches and the slab to cut the slab as it passes before the activated flame-cutting blowtorch.

  • Patent number: 6712911
Abstract: The invention concerns a procedure for flame-cutting a slab using at least one oxycutting torch at a workstation and a device for implementing this procedure. The slab and the oxycutting torch are moved in relation to each other, with the slab arranged in a cutting position such that its primary plane lies at an angle of −10° to −20° with respect to the vertical plane.

  • Patent number: 6534739
Abstract: The invention involves a process for the oxygen cutting of slabs—using one or more oxygen cutting torches—and a device for implementing the process. The process includes the steps of hanging the slab (16) using one or more electromagnets (14) separated from the slab (16) by a non-magnetic device or medium (such as air); causing a relative motion between the cutting torches (18) and the slab (16); using a carrying device (15) acting on the slab on the same side of the slab (16) as the electromagnet (14); and activating the cutting torch (18) in order to cut the slab (16) when it is transported past the cutting torch (18).

  • Publication number: 20020158375
Abstract: The invention concerns a procedure for flame-cutting a slab using at least one oxyacetylene cutting torch at a workstation and a device for implementing this procedure. The slab and the oxyacetylene cutting torch are moved in relation to each other, with the slab arranged in a cutting position such that its primary plane lies at an angle of −10° to −20° with respect to the vertical plane.

  • Patent number: 5071105
Abstract: The torch fitted with a nozzle (6) comprises a visual observation optical device having one end part coaxially inside the central gas feed pipe (7) and the other end extending outside the body (1) at the opposite end to the nozzle; the optical device being situated a specific distance from the main orifice (17) of the nozzle so that the bounds of its angle of view pass through the edges of said main orifice.
