Abstract: It is described herein a battery separator comprising a non-woven substrate and a binder. The non-woven substrate may comprise highly refined cellulosic fibers and synthetic fibers. The battery separator may have a mean pore size in a range of between 0.4 and 3 ?m. It is also described herein a lithium-ion battery comprising the battery separator, and a process for producing a battery separator.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer readable media for rendering a virtual object in a virtual environment are provided. The method can include determining a pose of a user and determining a viewing area of the user in the virtual environment based on the pose. The method can include defining a viewing region within the viewing area, the viewing region having a volume described by an angular displacement from a vector extending outward from the user in the virtual environment. The method can include identifying a virtual object in the viewing area of the user and causing the user device to display a version of a plurality of versions of the virtual object via the user device based on one or more of a distance to the virtual object, a viewing region in relation to the virtual object, an interaction with the virtual object, and a reference to the virtual object.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media for determining avatar eye contact in a virtual reality environment are provided. The method can include determining a first pose of a first avatar for a first user in a virtual environment. The method can include determining a first viewing area of the first user and a first viewing region within the first viewing area based on the first pose. The method can include determining a second pose of a second avatar for a second user. The method can include determining a second viewing area of the second user and a second viewing region within the second viewing area based on the second pose. The method can include displaying the second avatar on a first device of the first user and displaying the first avatar on a second device of the second user based on the first viewing region and the second viewing region.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer readable media for displaying a virtual environment on a user device are provided. The method can include determining outer dimensions of a cutting volume. The method can include determining when the cutting volume occupies the same space as a first portion of a virtual object in the virtual environment. The virtual object having a plurality of components internal to the virtual object. The method can include identifying a first group of the plurality of components inside the cutting volume and/or identifying a second group of the plurality of components outside the cutting volume based on the outer dimensions. The method can include causing the user device to display one of the first group and the second group on a display of the user device based on the outer dimensions.
