  • Patent number: 6845208
Abstract: The distribution frame and the method relate to a telecommunication installation in which optical fiber links are connected to connection members formed by sockets distributed on the front face of at least one distribution rack and in which jumpers provide the links between the connection members to which the links are individually connected. A robotized set of specialized tools is provided: to mount a plug on one end of a jumper reserve stored in coiled form; to position the plug in a connection member of a socket; to fit the jumper uncoiled from this member as far as another member; to adjust the length and to cut a section of uncoiled jumper; and to mount a plug on the end of the section and to position this plug in the other member.

  • Patent number: 6743345
Abstract: A process for metallizing a substrate part includes the following three steps: coating the part with a precursor composite material layer consisting of a polymer matrix doped with photoreducer material dielectric particles, irradiating the surface to be metallized of the substrate part with a light beam emitted by a laser, and immersing the irradiated part in an autocatalytic bath containing metal ions, with deposition of the latter in a layer on the irradiated surface. The dimension of the dielectric particles is less than or equal to 0.5 microns. The method is intended in particular for producing a metallized part including a substrate part consisting of a flexible film.

  • Publication number: 20030136576
Abstract: A printed circuit support comprises a substrate made of an insulating material, at least one electric current conveying path consisting of a metallization of the substrate, and at least one connection arrangement contiguous with the conveying path. The connection arrangement comprises at least one strip of metallized flexible plastic that forms a section of conductor and is electrically connected to the conveying path.

  • Patent number: 6375491
Abstract: The low crosstalk device for connecting a multipair cable includes, on a stripped end part of the cable, rear support means provided with channels for retaining insulated wires of the pairs, front support means for guiding the wires to be connected to contacts and an intermediate part in which the wires cross over. The channels are in lengthwise lateral communication with one another to define a passage in which all of the insulated wires are gripped tightly together in a layer, near the sheathed cable, and are advantageously provided in a block which is held in position relative to the front support means. Application: male RJ45 connectors, cross-connection connectors, terminal strips.

  • Patent number: 5649038
Abstract: The multiferrule for connecting optical fibers together has a series of internal capillary channels of transverse dimensions that are defined to leave substantial clearance for the fibers, at least in the two end portions of the channels where they open out into two end faces of the multiferrule. The multiferrule further includes middle necking in which the corresponding middle portions of the channels have their transverse dimensions reduced so as to leave only minimal clearance for the fibers, to enable them to be put into contact and connected together directly in this location. The multiferrule is applicable to making an optical fiber connector.
