Patent number: 12217182Abstract: Supervised learning is implemented to improve the accuracy of automated diagnoses performed by monitoring units installed at a machine. The monitoring units perform indicator acquisition and automated diagnoses based on a Bayesian model derived in accordance with the machine's known configuration. Raw data is collected, including machine vibration data and other diagnostic data. The data is analyzed to diagnose for specific fault defect assumptions so as to generate the automated diagnoses results and a rating for overall health of the machine. The results are uploaded to an external environment that can be accessed by an expert for review and correction. Based upon the expert's corrections, the Bayesian model is adjusted using supervised learning to improve the automated diagnoses performed by the monitoring units.Type: GrantFiled: December 7, 2023Date of Patent: February 4, 2025Assignee: ACOEM FranceInventors: Bertrand Wascat, Philippe Poizat, Jean Michel Becu

Patent number: 11912645Abstract: The invention is based on the discovery of a new bacterial compound with analgesic properties which could be used as a new tool for the treatment of pain disorders such as visceral pain. Studying the mechanisms implicated in analgesic properties of the probiotic Escherichia coli strain Nissle 1917 (EcN), inventors characterized, the amino fatty acids produced by EcN, which display the Ecn analgesic properties. One of these compounds inhibits the hypersensitivity to colorectal distension induced by capsaicin, which is a very powerful nociceptive compound and acts via the GABA B receptor. Furthermore, inventors demonstrate that this compound is able to cross the cellular epithelial barrier (such as the intestinal epithelium). Thus, the invention relates to a lipopetide compound, derived from gamma-aminobutyric acid. The invention also relates to a lipopeptide compound according to the invention for the treatment of treating pain disorder, such as somatic pain and visceral pain.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 2018Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Assignees: INSERM (INSTITUT NATIONAL DE LA SANTÉ ET DE LA RECHERCHE MÉDICALE), CENTRE HOSPITALIER UNIVERSITAIRE DE TOULOUSE, CENTRE NATIONAL DE LA RECHERCHE SCIENTIFIQUE—CNRS—, ECOLE NATIONALE VETERINAIRE DE TOULOUSE, UNIVERSITE PAUL SABATIER TOULOUSE III, INSTITUT NATIONAL DE RECHERCHE POUR L'AGRICULTURE, L'ALIMENTATION ET L'ENVIRONNEMENT, UNIVERSITE DE MONTPELLIER, ECOLE NATIONALE SUPERIEURE DE CHIMIE DE MONTPELLIERInventors: Nicolas Cenac, Justine Bertrand-Michel, Teresa Perez-Berezo, Thierry Durand, Jean-Marie Galano, Julien Pujo, Eric Oswald, Patricia Martin, Pauline Le Faouder, Alexandre Guy

Publication number: 20120092950Abstract: A system and method for consistent and highly accurate blending of fluids; e.g. gases or liquids, without significant pressure drop. The system uses a flow meter to measure the amount of primary fluid being provided for mixing with the amount of diluent fluid controlled based on such measurement of the primary fluid amount.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 15, 2010Publication date: April 19, 2012Inventors: Bertrand Michel Jean-Claude Colomb, Dennis Precourt, David L. Publication number: 20040116316Abstract: In an agglomeration process for the preparation of granules encapsulating a hydrophobic active material, the active material and a molten binder which has a melting point above ambient temperature are sprayed onto water soluble carrier particles while agitating the particles. A liquid which interacts exothermically with the carrier particles is sprayed onto the carrier particles separately from and just before or simultaneously with the active material and binder, so that the heat generated by the interaction reduces the cooling rate of the binder during the agglomeration process. For example the liquid can be water when the carrier particles have a positive heat of hydration and/or solution by water.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 23, 2003Publication date: June 17, 2004Inventors: Bertrand Michel, Pierre Descamps, Guzman Nachon, Serge Firmin Alain Creutz, Sophie Stassen

Patent number: 4282696Abstract: Structural elements such as X-type or V-type support posts for structures such as cooling towers are each prefabricated on the ground in the position which would be occupied on the theoretical assumption that, after erection, the post had been lowered to the ground in a movement of pivotal displacement about its foot. An articulated coupling is interposed between the foot of the post and the foundation footing of the structure. On completion of the prefabrication process, the post is lifted at one end by means of a hoisting machine and moved upwards in pivotal motion about the pivot-pin of the articulated coupling. After reaching its final position, the foot of the post is embedded in a concrete block cast on the foundation footing.Type: GrantFiled: April 5, 1978Date of Patent: August 11, 1981Assignee: Societe Nord-France d'Entreprises, Generales et de Constructions en beton arneInventor: Bertrand Michel
