  • Publication number: 20240164845
Abstract: An image processing system and method is provided. The image processing system includes a display, a processor, and a memory. The memory stores processor-executable code that when executed by the processor causes receiving an image of a region of interest of a patient with a medical catheter, tube or line disposed within the region of interest, detecting the medical tube or line within the image, generating a patient coordinate system relative to an anatomy of the patient within the image, generating a combined image by superimposing a first graphical marker on the image that indicates an end of the medical catheter, tube or line, and a second graphical marker on the image that indicates patient coordinate system, and displaying the combined image on the display. In addition, the system assesses common visualizable complications associated with CVC placement, including but not limited to hydrothorax, pneumothorax, pneumomediastinum and CVC position changes between x-rays taken at different times.

  • Publication number: 20230169649
Abstract: An artificial intelligence (AI) X-ray image information detection and correction system is employed either as a component of the X-ray imaging system or separately from the X-ray imaging system to automatically scan post-exposure X-ray images to detect various types of information or characteristics of the X-ray image, including, but not limited to, anatomy, view, orientation and laterality of the X-ray image, along with an anatomical landmark segmentation. The information detected about the X-ray image can then be stored by the AI system in association with the X-ray image for use in various downstream X-ray system workflow automations and/or reviews of the X-ray image.

  • Patent number: 8732601
Abstract: An image display system includes user configurable viewports for the review and analysis of image data. The user configurable viewports include a review viewport and an analysis viewport. The review viewport displays in a review mode, a plurality of image views of the image data. The analysis viewport displays in an analysis mode, a plurality of image views of the image data. The review viewport and the analysis viewport may be configured for simultaneous display of related image data.

  • Patent number: 8280127
Abstract: A system and method for analyzing three-dimensional image data are disclosed herein. The system includes a processor configured to generate an overview image of at least a portion of a patient. The processor is configured to generate a cross-sectional image including a cross-sectional view of the overview image. The processor is also configured to generate a statistical image showing a parameter value relating to the portion of the patient shown in the overview image. The system also includes a visual output device connected to the processor. The visual output device is configured to display the overview image, the cross-sectional image, and the statistical image generally simultaneously. Also, the overview image, the cross-sectional image, and the statistical image are interconnected such that an update, change, or input applied to any one of the images results in an update to one or more of the other images.

  • Patent number: 6597762
Abstract: An object detection apparatus includes a data acquisition system configured to acquire diagnostic data of the subject, an image reconstructor configured to reconstruct at least one image of the subject from the diagnostic data, and a data retrieval device configured to retrieve a first set of bookmarks identifying a first set of objects of interest in the at least one image. The object detection apparatus further includes a computer programmed to display the at least one image on a console and detect input from the user corresponding to a second set of bookmarks identifying a second set of objects of interest in the image. The computer is further programmed to selectively allow the user to incorporate each bookmark of the first set of bookmarks into the second set of bookmarks.
