Abstract: A calendar control. The calendar control can include a multiplicity of graphically toggleable calendar dates. Each toggleable calendar date can have one of either a selected state or a de-selected state. Importantly, unlike prior art calendar displays, each toggleable calendar date can assume one of the selected and de-selected states with consideration to the states of contiguous ones of the calendar dates. An application programming interface further can be provided through which external application programs can access the calendar date states.

Abstract: A method for window snap control for a split screen computer program GUI is provided. In the method, an area between a first and second display windows of a computer program is selected. The selected area activates a snap function of the computer program. The snap function displays a selection icon for client interaction with a selection indicator within the selection icon. Selecting the indicator will increase a size of the first display window while simultaneously decreasing a size of the second display window.

Abstract: A method for customizing a toolbar of a computer program is provided. In the method, at least one function from a list of at least one function is selected from the computer program. After selecting the desired function, a pointer is assigned to the function while the computer program remains operational in the foreground. The pointer is then positioned to a desired location on a secondary toolbar.
