Abstract: A customizable combination shoe and accessory include: (a) a wearable mule or slide type shoe having: (i) a sole portion having an insole and an outsole, (ii) a vamp arranged at the insole, (iii) a heel affixed to the outsole, and (iv) a single anchor extending through the outsole; and (b) an accessory harness having: (i) a portion defining an opening, the opening being configured to engage the single anchor to removably secure the portion of the harness to the anchor at the outsole, and (ii) support portions, extending from the portion defining the opening, configured to engage portions of the foot of a wearer of the combination shoe and accessory to provide support to the engaged portions of the foot of the wearer.

Abstract: A counter for a shoe having an upper, a lining configured to be connected with the upper along a top edge of the shoe, a cushioning heel pillow arranged in a position opposite the heel of a wearer's foot, and an insole forming a foot bed of the shoe. The counter includes a member having an upper edge having a cut-out region forming a valley, a lower edge forming an anchor region, and first and second side wings. The counter is configured to be positioned between the lining and the upper at a heel portion of the shoe such that, in an assembled shoe, the first and second side wings wrap around the heel of the shoe and the valley accommodates an extension of the heel pillow therethrough.

Abstract: A shock absorbent heel for a shoe includes: a heel seat portion configured so as to have a top surface configured to be attachable to a bottom portion of a shoe upper; a mid-heel portion formed of a cushioning material; a bottom heel portion, the mid heel portion being sandwiched between the heel seat portion and the bottom heel portion when the shock absorbent heel is in an assembled state; and a dowel. The dowel is arranged in a vertically extending dowel chamber in the shock absorbent heel. The dowel is configured to pass along vertically shocks caused by contact of the shock absorbent heel with the ground so that at least a portion of the shock is absorbed by the cushioning material of the mid heel portion.
