    Abstract: A data box generates an output signal to control a light strand comprising a plurality of lights. The data box is configured to receive an input signal comprising a first instruction packet having a first, second, and third color value. The data box is further configured to determine an output color based on the first, second, and third color values. The data box then generates the output signal, which comprises a second instruction packet. The second instruction packet comprises a first, second, and third color value as well as a white value. The combination of the first, second, third, and white values is configured to match the output color of the first instruction packet. The data box is further configured to transmit the second instruction packet to a light of the plurality of lights.

Light from a light source coupled with the housing is configured to be emitted from the housing at the first end of the housing. The light fixture is hung from a cable by passing a cord through an opening formed by walls of the cap and around the cable while the cap is removably coupled with the housing.
