  • Publication number: 20230133541
Abstract: Alert correlation helps reduce the number of alerts that IT staff have to act upon. Methods include a computer program product that applies a machine driven deep learning model to effectively correlate alerts caused by a common root cause. The methods of correlation provide the user the context of the root cause for the alerts. Therefore, it helps the user to quickly identify, understand and resolve the problem thereby reducing the mean time to identification and resolution. Alerts caused by the same root cause therefor come together.

  • Publication number: 20220267024
Abstract: Examples provide a method and system for quantitatively measuring air turbulence. A turbulence measuring application on each user device in a plurality of user devices associated with a plurality of users at a plurality of different locations within an aircraft generates vibration data and positional data associated with turbulence detected at each user's location. The data is analyzed to eliminate noise due to user movements and other non-turbulence related events. An aircraft server aggregates the vibration data and the positional data generated by the user devices scattered throughout the aircraft. The aggregated data is analyzed to eliminate noise due to non-turbulence related events to create quantitative air turbulence data. The quantitative air turbulence data generated by one or more aircraft is used with weather and other related data to generate more accurate and precise turbulence predictions for aircraft.

  • Publication number: 20210243069
Abstract: Alert correlation plays an important role in IT event management. It helps reduce the number of alerts that IT staff have to act upon. The disclosure describes a method, a computer program product that applies a machine driven deep learning model to effectively correlate alerts caused by a common root cause. In addition, this method of correlation provides the user the context of the root cause. Therefore, it helps the user to quickly identify, understand and resolve the problem thereby reducing the mean time to identification and resolution. Alerts that are caused by the same root cause therefor come together. In the machine learning world, language sequence models are doing very well on learning the sequence patterns between words. For example, the machine can learn the subtle difference between choice of words and the order of words in order to fake a person's writing.

  • Patent number: 10400074
Abstract: The present invention relates to the development of carbon fiber carbon nanotubes reinforced polymer composites for high strength structural applications. It is very difficult to incorporate higher amount of carbon fiber >60 vol % in any of the polymer matrix. Beyond this loading the mechanical properties of these composite starts deteriorate. Therefore, further improvement in the mechanical properties is not possible. Herein, a novel method is developed to fabricate the hybrid carbon fiber epoxy composites reinforced with multiwalled carbon nanotubes. The flexural strength of the hybrid composites (˜45 vol % CF+CNT) was achieved more than 600 MPa which is more than 35% over pure carbon fiber/epoxy composites (˜50 vol % CF). These high strength hybrid composites can be used in wind mill blades, turbine blades, sport industries, automobile and airframe.

  • Patent number: 10003075
Abstract: The present invention relates to carbon nanotubes-metal nano composite by chemical route and the corresponding development of strong and flexible, light weight, self-supporting anode through simple vacuum filtration technique, which is favored by the high aspect ratio of the Multi-walled carbon nanotubes. The self-supported anode has an added advantage that it can be used as electrodes without binder and electrical conductor (unlike other carbonaceous powder materials) that helps us to elucidate the precise electrochemical properties. The metals used can be Sn, Si, Al, etc. The developed high capacity, free-standing anode can be used in rechargeable Li-ion batteries and is demonstrated successfully in powering solar lantern.

  • Patent number: 7955663
Abstract: Processes for the simultaneous and selective growth of single walled and multiwalled carbon nanotubes in a single set of experiments are disclosed. The processes may include preparing a graphite electrode rod containing catalyst selected from Fe, Co, Ni, and a mixture thereof, acting as an anode. The process may include preparing another graphite electrode rod, each electrode having a distal and a proximal end. The process may include placing the above said two electrodes parallel to each other and their axis being substantially aligned in a chamber. The process may further include creating a DC-arc discharge inside the chamber by applying a DC-current voltage. The process may further include an cooling assembly having a cooling coil that surrounds the two electrodes. The cooling assembly may be used to maintain a temperature gradient that permits the depositing of single walled and multiwalled carbon nanotubes simultaneously in one experiment.

  • Publication number: 20110076702
Abstract: The present invention discloses the detection of an important 12K-Da protein having cross-reactivity amongst different prevalent allergenic grasses and fungi can be useful for detection of respiratory allergies. Conventionally, the whole extracts that are used for diagnosis are unable to specifically detect the causative agents. In addition, they are also responsible for additional non-specific sensitivities in patients to other components present in the extract. If a single cross-reactive protein is available, it can replace large number of extracts used for detection of raised IgE levels in allergy by ELISA, immunoblotting and the likes. Further, number of pricks would be reduced and this would benefit both patient and clinicians. It is further realized that production of such a protein by recombinant methods can lead to its availability in pure form and bulk amounts required for routine diagnosis.

  • Publication number: 20080217161
Abstract: The present invention provides a process for the simultaneous and selective growth of single walled and multiwalled carbon nanotubes using electric arc discharge technique. According to present development it is possible to synthesise and collect catalyst free carbon nanotubes from cathode deposit. A mechanism of cooling coil arrangement was designed and used inside the arc discharge chamber so as to be capable to grow sufficient amount of single walled carbon nanotubes in the form of webs surrounding the coil. The present invention offers a scalable way for producing both SWNTs and MWNTs in the single run.
