A computing device includes a housing, an electronic component supported by the housing, and a heat spreader physically connected to the electronic component. The heat spreader includes an adjustable part that is adjustable between a first state and a second state. Heat generated by the electronic component flows through the adjustable part when the adjustable part is in the first state, and the adjustable part is operable to redirect at least a portion of the heat when the adjustable part is in the second state.
