  • Publication number: 20240284148
Abstract: This document describes techniques, apparatuses, and systems for communication of text data through a voice call. Provided is a voice call between a first user equipment and a second user equipment, during which packets are communicated through a voice channel. Information is requested from the first user equipment. Text conveying the requested information is received at the first user equipment. The text is encoded into data indicative of the text and organized into packets that are marked to indicate the text data within. The packets are transmitted to the second user equipment, where the packets are determined to include text data, and the data indicative of the text is decoded using a decoder associated with text data. In doing so, text data can be communicated through the voice call.

  • Publication number: 20240201787
Abstract: This document discloses techniques, apparatuses, and systems for hand-movement based interactions with augmented reality (AR) objects. A set of hand gestures is determined, where each hand gesture is associated with a respective interaction with a virtual object in an AR environment. An environment is captured within the field of view of a viewfinder and included within an AR environment having a virtual object. A hand gesture is performed in the field of view of the viewfinder is captured. The captured hand gesture is determined to correspond to a particular hand gesture from the set of hand gestures. As a result, a particular interaction associated with the particular hand gesture is performed on an object within the augmented reality environment. In doing so, an AR engine can effectively interact with objects in an AR environment using hand gestures.

  • Publication number: 20240195493
Abstract: According to aspects herein, methods and a non-transitory computer storage medium storing computer instructions for dynamic power configuration of LEO satellites are provided. The method begins with receiving, at an extraterrestrial base station, at least one first uplink communication from a first device. The first uplink communication contains an altitude measurement and at least one of: a signal strength measurement and a power level of the first device. The method then continues with determining a location and transmission angle of the first device with respect to a field of regard of the extraterrestrial base station. Then, a downlink transmission power setting for the extraterrestrial base station is dynamically determined based on the altitude measurement and the transmission angle of the first device.

  • Publication number: 20230126496
Abstract: Methods, systems, and non-transitory computer readable media for validating a simulated component of a communication network using real traffic. More particularly, a simulator instantiates a simulation environment that includes a base station module, a user equipment (UE) module, and a simulated communication link therebetween. Real traffic generated by a non-simulated UE is sent to a proxy that routes the traffic to the UE module. As a result, test software instated in the simulation environment can be validated using traffic generated by a non-simulated UE.

  • Patent number: 11451986
Abstract: The current disclosure relates to systems and methods for testing the operability of a mobile device on a remote cellular communication network. The system receives one or more parameters corresponding to a mobile device and a selection of a specific geographic location in a cellular communication network. The system subsequently generates and emulates a clone image including a clone mobile device and clone base station to determine one or more operating values indicative of a performance of the mobile device at the specific geographic location based on the operation of the clone image.

  • Patent number: 11176025
Abstract: A system and method for automating test scenarios for a component or entity of a network, including defining a test case that includes multiple values for multiple parameters and generating at least one test scenario based on the test case. Test scenarios can utilize the same traffic generator files and share data files to automate test execution. The system and method can further include executing a test scenario to obtain a test result that indicates whether the component or entity of the network passed or failed the test scenario.

  • Patent number: 10846208
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments include a method for automating test scenarios for a node of a network. The method can include defining an initial test case that includes multiple values for multiple variables and generating multiple subsequent test scenarios based on the initial test case. The multiple test scenarios utilize the same traffic generator files and share data files to automate test execution. The method can further include executing a particular test scenario to obtain a test result that indicates whether the node of the network passed or failed the particular test scenario.

  • Patent number: 9001660
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein provide systems and methods for selectively discarding Diameter protocol messages in an LTE communication system. In a particular embodiment, a method provides receiving a plurality of Diameter protocol messages at the communication control system and determining a measure of Diameter message congestion. If the measure of Diameter message congestion satisfies a congestion criteria, the method provides determining a priority of at least one message of the plurality of Diameter protocol messages. Messages associated with communication sessions participating in a data session have higher priority than messages associated with communication sessions currently establishing and the messages associated with communication sessions currently establishing have higher priority than messages associated with initiating communication sessions.
