    Abstract: Pharmaceutical compositions are provided comprising gemcitabine (“GEM”)-containing modified RNAi agents such as siRNA molecules, combined with a histidine-lysine copolymer carrier, intended for inhibiting the expression of targeted genes involved in a variety of cancers. Modifications to the siRNA backbone may include, without limitation, 2?-OMe, 2?-Fluoro and phosphorothioate modifications. Methods for treatment of a variety of cancers by administering such pharmaceutical compositions are further provided, including breast, ovarian, and pancreatic cancer in mammals, among others.
