  • Publication number: 20220042701
Abstract: A method for determining an energy score for a guest room of a hotel having a plurality of guest rooms includes identifying two or more energy saving conditions associated with the guest room under which there is an opportunity to save energy when controlling the guest room without sacrificing guest comfort. The guest room is controlled in a designated energy savings mode when one or more of the energy savings room conditions are detected, and controlling the guest room in a guest comfort mode when none of the energy savings room conditions are detected. An energy score for the guest room is determined based at least in part on a measure of reliability of detecting the two or more energy savings conditions of the guest room, and thus the ability to take advantage of the opportunities to save energy when controlling the guest room.

  • Publication number: 20210398230
Abstract: A system reduces risk of pathogen exposure within a space that is located within a facility having a plurality of spaces that periodically have one or more people within the space. The system includes one or more occupancy sensors that are configured to provide an indication of when the space is occupied and when the space is not occupied. A sanitizer is configured to sanitize surfaces within the space when activated. A controller is operably coupled with the one or more occupancy sensors and the sanitizer. The controller is configured to determine a designated time to sanitize the space based at least in part upon information received from the one or more occupancy sensors and to automatically instruct the sanitizer to sanitize surfaces within the space at the designated time.

  • Publication number: 20210389007
Abstract: A computer system provides a method for analyzing various parameters, variables and/or conditions associated with the operation of HVAC systems. Some example computer systems display a coordinate system with multiple graphs of variables and conditions having disparate units of measure, such as degrees Centigrade, percent, ppm, on/off, etc. In some examples, variables and conditions with similar units of measure are grouped together. The groups of similar units are plotted along different segments of the coordinate system's y-axis. The segments and their respective graphs of similar units are distributed vertically, one above the other. All of the graphs, however, share a common x-axis, which is labeled in units of time. This makes it easier to visually compare multiple, disparate variables and conditions at particular points in time. When an HVAC related problem occurs, the visual comparisons can help identify the problem and its source.

  • Patent number: 10925028
Abstract: A device for monitoring an identification and positioning system may comprise a transceiver and a controller operatively coupled to a memory. The controller may be configured to receive a status signal from the transceiver indicative of an inspection of a component, obtain an identity of the component, a location of the component, and a signal strength of a signal produced by the component, access a record from the memory, determine whether the record includes an identity of the component or a location of the component that matches the obtained identity or location of the component, observe a difference in the obtained signal strength and a signal strength from the record, and send a notification of an issue concerning the component when the difference is outside a range.

  • Publication number: 20200285210
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a concurrent 3-Way bidirectional message redirection component of control system which includes two coordinating supervisors each configured to process data streams representing sensor values and local inputs from an environment and to return additional data as well as operating instructions to the source of the data stream. The message redirection component determines which coordinating supervisor is currently in control of the operation of the system and moderates transitions between configurations of the system.

  • Publication number: 20190087076
Abstract: One or more screens may be displayed on a touch screen of a wireless mobile device to solicit commissioning information from the user, including uploading a photograph of a room. The photograph may be displayed on the touch screen along with a set of icons corresponding to devices in the room. Individual icons may be moved onto the photograph to locations corresponding to the actual devices. The icons can be used to configure and operate the corresponding devices.
