Abstract: An electronic device capable of detecting environment brightness includes a camera and a processor. The camera includes a photo sensor. The photo sensor includes a number of photosensitive elements. The processor is to periodically turn on some or all of the photosensitive elements to direct the camera to capture an image, obtain R value, G value, and B value of each pixel of the captured image, and determine environment brightness according to the determined R value, G value, and B value of each pixel of the captured image. A related method is also provided.

Abstract: An electronic device for initializing a data storage is provided. The data storage has been accessed. The data storage includes a plurality blocks, which comprise some bad blocks. Each block comprising a block marking area for writing a block identifier. The block identifier is for marking whether the block is a bad block or a good block. After the data storage is accessed, a bad-block table for recording the block identifier of each block is stored at a predetermined location of the data storage. When initializing the data storage, the electronic device accesses the bad-block table from the predetermined location of the data storage, erases data stored on the data storage, obtains the block identifier of each block from the bad-block table; and writes the block identifier to the block marking area of each block.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a dynamic memory, a static memory, a detection unit, a copy unit and a set unit. The dynamic memory stores an interrupt monitoring program. The interrupt monitoring program monitors whether an interrupt request is generated, and generates an interrupt signal when the interrupt request is generated. The detection unit detects whether the electronic device needs to enter a sleep mode, and generates a detection signal if the electronic device needs to enter the sleep mode. The copy unit copies the interrupt monitoring program from the dynamic memory to the static memory in response to the detection signal, and runs the interrupt monitoring program in the static memory for monitoring whether an interrupt signal is generated. The set unit sets the dynamic memory into a self-refresh mode in response to the detection signal.

Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device is connected to an external power supply through an interface. The electronic device comprises a processing unit and an input unit. The input unit responds to a power off operation to generate a power off signal and sends the power off signal to the processing unit. The processing unit periodically checks whether the electronic device is disconnected from the external power supply after receiving the power off signal, and powers off the electronic device if the electronic device is disconnected from the external power supply.

Abstract: A wireless earphone is provided herein. The wireless earphone includes a transceiver, a storage unit, a playing unit, and a speaker. The transceiver is for wirelessly receiving a compressed audio file. The storage unit is for storing the compressed audio file. The playing unit is for decoding the compressed audio file stored in the storage unit, and transforming the decoded audio file into analog audio signals. The speaker is for transforming the analog audio signals into sound. An audio player and an audio playing method are also provided.

Abstract: An electronic device includes an input unit for generating control signals according to operations of a user, a power supply unit for supplying power to the electronic device, a first timer for measuring and signaling the end of a first time interval by outputting a first end signal, a second timer for measuring and signaling the end of a second time interval by outputting a second end signal, a notifier for generating a notice signal based on a notice file, and a controller. The controller is for restarting the first timer and disabling the second timer whenever receiving one of the control signals, restarting the second timer and enabling the notifier when receiving the first end signal, and disabling the power supply unit when receiving the second end signal. A related automatic turnoff method for automatically turning off an electronic device is also disclosed.
