Abstract: Content configuration setting techniques, in accordance with embodiments of the present technology, include determining a given set of one or more configuration parameters associated with a given one of the items of content from a content configuration data structure. The one or more configuration parameters may include volume parameters, brightness parameters, contrast parameters, color parameters and/or the like. The given item of content is then output in a browser or a tab of the browser according to the given set of one or more configuration parameters.

Abstract: A method for invoking a software application comprising: executing a first application on a user device; detecting a trigger event on the user device, the trigger event is non-specific and external to the first application and a second application; invoking the second application in response to the trigger event; sending metadata from the first application to the second application; and performing an action in the second application based at least partially on the metadata received from the first application, wherein, the first application and the second application are not operating system processes, and the second application is separate and independent from the first application.

Abstract: A custom logo that may be presented during, e.g., TV boot is stored on a first storage such as a NAND flash and caused to be presented on the TV display during booting. In the event that the custom logo is not present on the first storage, a default logo on a second storage containing the boot loader of the TV is presented on the display.
