  • Publication number: 20040094176
Abstract: A nail machine having a base and a cover. A vertical plate is pivotally mounted in the base. A mechanism, connected to the plate, is driven by a motor to cause the plate to execute oscillations in a vertical plane. A polygonal member, having a plurality of abrasive surfaces, is resiliently carried by the mounting member. A supporting member holds a finger nail beneath and in proximity to the polygonal member so that it can be urged upwardly against the resiliently mounted polygonal member and brought into contact with an abrasive surface thereon under pressure while the plate executes oscillations to effect a treatment of the finger nail. Rotatably mounted spools are provided for treating the nail edges.

  • Publication number: 20040096369
Abstract: A device for blowing a vapor-containing air stream into a pre-selected space that has a housing having a channel leading to an outlet and a container for liquid mounted in the housing. A heated vaporization chamber in the housing communicates with said a channel. A nozzle sprays a fine mist of a liquid into the vaporization chamber. A blower in the channel blows a stream of air through said channel and out the outlet. A controller senses the temperature of the heater and maintains the blower and nozzle inactive until the temperature sensed reaches a predetermined level. The rate of liquid fed to the nozzle is controlled.

  • Patent number: 6347635
Abstract: A hand operated self-contained apparatus for applying an image on a nail of a person's digit or an object that has an integrally molded base having a reference line indicated and a supporting area for receiving an image creating plate containing at least one image for creating thereon an image composed of an image defining coating material. A digit positioning member is mounted on the base and positions a person's digit relative to the location of the created image. A transfer member is mounted on the base and moves between the image creating plate and the person's nail. The transfer member contains a squeegee for removing excess coating material from an image and a pick up pad for picking up a created image. The positioning member has one element mounted and biased for movement vertically for holding the end of the digit and another element mounted and biased for movement horizontally against which the end of the digit or object abuts.
