  • Patent number: 8432628
Abstract: An optical film includes a light transmissive substrate having a first surface and a second surface opposite thereto, strip protrusions on the first surface, and protruding structures on crest lines of the strip protrusions. Each strip protrusion has two strip surfaces. Each protruding structure has a protruding end protruding from the crest line of the corresponding strip protrusion and two wing portions on the strip surfaces of the corresponding strip protrusion. Each wing portion extends from the protruding end to a place between the crest line and a valley line. A length of the protruding structure parallel to an extension direction of the crest line is L, a width of the protruding structure perpendicular to the crest line is W, and L/W?1.2. At least one of a moiré phenomenon, a local adherence phenomenon, a scratching phenomenon, and a wearing phenomenon with other optical devices is effectively mitigated.

  • Publication number: 20080247190
Abstract: A high brightness diffusion plate for homogenizing light beams provided by at least one light source of a backlight module to a display panel is provided, which includes a diffusion layer, a transmittance layer, and a plurality of connecters. The transmittance layer is disposed above the diffusion layer, and the connecters are connected between the diffusion layer and the transmittance layer. Since the high brightness diffusion plate of the present invention is an integrated structure and is stronger, the present invention is not only easier for being assembled inside the backlight module, but also makes the light source provided by the backlight module being more homogeneous.

  • Publication number: 20070126329
Abstract: A brightness enhancement film having a light exit surface and multiple stripe prisms disposed opposite to the light exit surface is provided. The stripe prisms are parallel, each stripe prism has a light incident curved surface, a light reflective inclined surface and a flat surface, and the light incident curved surface is connected between the light reflective inclined surface and the flat surface. The light incident curved surface and the flat surface are opposite to the light reflective inclined surface. The light incident curved surface is an outward curved surface. Further, a light beam from the light incident curved surface is reflected to the light exit surface by the light reflective surface.

  • Publication number: 20070109644
Abstract: A brightness enhancement film, which is disposed beyond a light module, the light source module emits light upward to and through the brightness enhancement film. The brightness enhancement film is composed of a substrate and a diffractive optical element which is disposed on a surface of the substrate, the diffractive optical element collimates a direction of the light after the light is passing through the diffractive optical element.

  • Patent number: 6797959
Abstract: The sensitivity adjusting equipment applied to a photoelectric smoke detector is provided. The photoelectric smoke detector includes a luminous component for providing an input light and a detecting component for receiving an even output light. The sensitivity adjusting equipment includes a light-scattering device having a scattering component and an adjustable hole for scattering the input light evenly and adjusting an intensity of the input light so as to output the even output light to the detecting component. The sensitivity adjusting equipment also includes a movable platform having a first brace connected to the photoelectric smoke detector and a supporting base having a second brace connected to the light-scattering device. The movable platform is moved to make the photoelectric smoke detector and the light-scattering device combined to adjust the sensitivity of the photoelectric smoke detector.
