  • Publication number: 20200015199
Abstract: A method may include transmitting, by a user equipment, a data packet to a network entity. The method may further include starting, by the user equipment, a timer with a first value associated with the transmission to the network entity. The method may further include checking, by the user equipment, for feedback from the network entity associated with the transmission to the network entity. The method may further include determining, by the user equipment, that no feedback for the transmission has been received within the associated timer, or a negative acknowledgement has been received without the corresponding resource allocation for re-transmission. The method may further include in response to receiving no feedback associated with the transmission within the associated timer, or receiving a negative acknowledgement without the corresponding resource allocation for re-transmission, re-transmitting, by the user equipment, the data packet to the network entity.

  • Publication number: 20200015249
Abstract: To efficiently use uplink resources while fulfilling latency requirements of low latency services, an access node, a resource pool allocated for contention based transmissions of low latency communication services may be used for transmissions of data services, since an access node providing the resource pool, is caused to send, in response to not being able to decode terminal device identification information from a sensed scheduling request, a stop instruction to terminal devices that are using the resource pool to transmissions of the data services. Further, the terminal device that sent the scheduling request is caused to use the resource pool for transmissions of the low latency service if a response is not received within predetermined time.

  • Publication number: 20190362025
Abstract: A machine is configured to improve a search engine. For example, the machine generating, for a user, one or more search facets using one or more machine learning algorithms. The generating of the search facets is based on a user profile associated with the user and one or more similar user profiles. The machine receives an identifier of the user from a client device. The machine causes a display of one or more selectable identifiers of the one or more search facets in a user interface of the client device associated with the user. The machine receives, from the client device, an indication of a selection of the one or more selectable identifiers of the one or more search facets. The machine causes a display of one or more job descriptions in the user interface based on a search performed using the one or more search facets.

  • Publication number: 20190266720
Abstract: In various implementations, a condition of one or more screens of a device may be determined. A user may select a return application that facilitates capturing image(s) of device screen(s). A user may capture images of a screen of using a camera of the same device or another device. In some implementations, the user may position the device proximate a mirror such that the device can capture an image of one or more screens of the device. The captured image(s) may be processed and/or analyzed to determine if the screen of the device is damaged. In some implementations, notifications based on the condition of the device screen(s) may be transmitted. A price for the device may be determined, in some implementations based on the condition of the screen.

  • Patent number: 10291580
Abstract: An intelligent network address translation system and methods for intelligent network address translation. In one embodiment, a network packet is received from a host device, and a stored record associated with the host device is identified. The stored record includes information relating to connection parameters associated with the host device. Using the stored record, a processor determines whether the network packet should be assigned a dedicated address. If so, then the network packet is transmitted using communication parameters including a dedicated IP address. If the packet should not be assigned a dedicated address, then the packet is transmitted using connection parameters including a default public IP address and a port number.

  • Publication number: 20180324852
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) selects first and second radio resources from respective first and second pools of radio resources. In one example these are primarily allocated for contention-free and scheduling-based channel access, respectively. Content to duplicate in parallel communications is selected based at least on a characteristic of uplink data waiting to be sent (such as size) and/or on the selected first and second radio resources (such as timing difference between them). The UE transmits the selected content on each of the selected first and second radio resources. In the examples the content to duplicate was selected from among the uplink data to send and a scheduling request message. In various embodiments one of these transmissions indicates it's a duplicate, and the duplicated scheduling request message is transmitted on the first resource with the uplink data. These teachings are particularly useful for URLLC data.

  • Patent number: 9781645
Abstract: Presented is a method for controlling network access for the mobile device. The method includes analyzing a first plurality of network parameters, collected by the mobile device, based on one or more local network policies. The method further includes receiving an update for the one or more local network policies from a policy server based on a second plurality of network parameters received by the policy server from a plurality of mobile devices. The method also includes rerouting data traffic for the mobile device from a first wireless network configuration to a second wireless network configuration based on the analyzing of the second plurality of network parameters and the update from the policy server. Rerouting data traffic for the mobile device may include maintaining a constant IP address utilizing a virtual network adapter within the mobile device to provide split tunneling over two or more network connections of the second wireless network configuration.

  • Publication number: 20150381081
Abstract: A method of controlling an AC machine that includes a stator and a rotor, wherein the method includes, whilst operating the AC machine according to an overmodulation technique: determining a reference speed for controlling the operation of the AC machine; filtering the reference speed such that if the reference speed exceeds a speed limit of the AC machine, the reference speed is reduced towards that speed limit; and controlling the operation of the AC machine based on the filtered reference speed. It has been found that controlling the AC machine in this way helps to inhibit “windup” of a controller used to implement the method, even if the overmodulation technique sets a non-constant maximum voltage.
