    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first network node may communicate with a second network node using a line-of-sight (LOS) multiple input multiple output (MIMO) configuration at a frequency. The first network node may communicate, based at least in part on a multi-user MIMO (MU MIMO) mode, with a third network node using the LOS MIMO configuration and at the frequency, wherein the MU MIMO mode corresponds to an antenna system configuration of the rectangular antenna array, wherein the antenna system configuration includes at least one of an antenna assignment scheme, an antenna amplitude configuration, or an antenna phase configuration.
