Abstract: A filter (10) for a vehicle is provided. The filter includes a casing (12) having an inlet (22), a plurality of outlets (25) and a passage extending within the casing. The inlet and outlet are adapted to be in fluid communication with a fluid system of a vehicle. The filter further includes a first filter (26) disposed within the passage and a core (20) received with the passage. The core is adapted to be in fluid communication with the fluid system, wherein at least a portion of the core is magnetized such that fluid passing through the fluid system passes through the core and ferrous particles within the fluid are magnetically captured by the core.
