    Abstract: An outsole for an article of footwear includes a support member and a comfort member. The support member includes a body defining a forepart aperture and a backpart aperture. The comfort member is supported by the support member and positioned within the forepart aperture and the backpart aperture. A method of assembling an article of footwear includes positioning a forepart of a comfort member within a forepart aperture defined by a forepart of a support member of an outsole for the article of footwear, positioning a backpart of the comfort member within a backpart aperture defined by a backpart of the support member, and securing the comfort member relative to the support member.

In some aspects, the sole member defines a forepart recess and a backpart aperture, and the insole is secured to a top side of the sole member. The insole defines a forepart aperture aligned with the forepart recess of the sole member, and a length of the forepart aperture is less than a length of the forepart recess. The forefoot cushioning member is secured within the forepart recess of the sole member and between the insole and the sole member.

    Abstract: A cover lifting device for lifting a cover having two spaced lifting holes includes an elongate lever, a lifting hook affixed to one end portion for engagement with one hole, a sleeve freely slideably mounted between lever ends and another lifting hook, a flexible element attaches the second hook to the sleeve. The second hook has a shank with a straight axis and a lower gripping element. The improvement includes an upper connecting portion extending laterally of the axis and in an opposite direction to the element. The connecting portion has an opening to connect the element, which is offset from the axis to rotate the hook when a lifting force is applied at the opening.
