    Abstract: A fishing pole holder in which a cradle is normally supported at an obtuse angle relative to a stable surface by a support member. A bite on the bait or lure at the end of a line from the pole results in a tug on the pole which releases the cradle, causing the cradle to engage the support member thereby actuating a signal to the fisherman that he or she has a bite on the line.
