    Abstract: A robotic pelletizer includes a roller carriage having an improved grasping device which has first and second plates contacting opposed sides of an item to be lifted, a bottom support having a plurality of fingers moveable underneath the item, and a clamping plate to contact a top of the item. An elevating device lifts the item from a support surface so that the fingers may move under the item, and thereby support the item when the elevating device is lowered.
