  • Publication number: 20260140973
Abstract: In accordance with the described techniques, a content generation query is received, and a primary object of the content generation query is identified. Further, a content element associated with the primary object is retrieved from a content database. Based on the content generation query, a generative artificial intelligence (AI) model is prompted to generate content by embedding the content element on the primary object of the generated content. The generated content is then displayed in a user interface.

  • Patent number: 12568182
Abstract: A method provides non-disruptive transition from a freeze frame video back to a live video feed from a first communication device connected via a server device to a video communication session with other participants. The method includes presenting, by the server device, a freeze frame video including an image of a participant with a background. The method includes receiving live video of a field of view of an image capturing device of the first communication device, and detecting a change in a visual characteristic of the live video that can present a visual distraction to other participants. The method includes, in response to detecting the change: modifying aspects of the live video to provide a modified live video that retains the visual characteristic consistent with the freeze frame video; and presenting the modified live video to the video communication session on transition from freeze frame video to live video.

  • Publication number: 20250372014
Abstract: A method in an electronic device includes detecting, with one or more sensors, a wrapped geometric form factor defined by a flexible display supported by a deformable housing and presenting, with one or more processors, content on the flexible display in a first location. The method also detects, with one or more other sensors, gesture input translating the electronic device in three-dimensional space while the wrapped geometric form factor is occurring and moving, by the one or more processors, the content on the flexible display in response to the translating to a second location as a function of a change in orientation of the electronic device in three-dimensional space resulting from the translating.

  • Publication number: 20250373932
Abstract: An electronic device includes a deformable housing with linkage members, a flexible display, and an image capture device. The device features sensors to determine a wrapped, wrist-worn geometric configuration and to detect orientation relative to gravity. Processors, in conjunction with the sensors and image capture device, adjust the video capture output orientation to compensate for deviations from gravity's direction. This adjustment ensures an upright video capture experience, even when the device is worn on the wrist. The processors may also present the adjusted video output on the flexible display with indicators of the rotation applied. The device can dynamically adapt to various form factors, enhancing the video recording experience by maintaining a consistent horizon in the output, regardless of the device's orientation during use.

  • Publication number: 20250373931
Abstract: A method in an electronic device includes detecting, with one or more sensors, a wrapped geometric form factor defined by a flexible display supported by a deformable housing. The method also includes detecting, with one or more other sensors, gesture input indicating a camcorder support condition is supporting the electronic device in three-dimensional space while the wrapped geometric form factor is occurring. Thereafter, the method enables, with one or more processors in response to detecting the wrapped geometric form factor and the camcorder support condition, an image capture mode of operation of an image capture device of the electronic device.

  • Patent number: 12464083
Abstract: A communication device, a method, and a computer program product modifies visual characteristics of live videos to enable non-disruptive transition from presenting a freeze frame video to a video communication session. While presenting the freeze frame video, the device captures live video including the participant and current background. The device detects a change in at least one visual characteristic of the live video that can present a visual distraction to other participants of the video communication session while transitioning from presenting the freeze frame video to the video communication session. In response to detecting the change: the device modifies aspects of the live video to provide a modified live video that retains the at least one visual characteristic consistent with the freeze frame video. The device presents the modified live video to the video communication session on transition from presenting the freeze frame video to presenting live video.

  • Patent number: 12418627
Abstract: An electronic device, a method, and a computer program product provides freeze frame videos in place of a live video feed or a low-quality video feed to a video communication session. The electronic device hosts the video communication session between a first participant device and second participant devices. The electronic device receives, from the first participant device, a first video feed of a first participant to the video communication session. The electronic device determines a video segment of the received first video feed to identify as the first freeze frame video, generates the first freeze frame video from the video segment, and stores the first freeze frame video within a server repository. In response to a trigger condition, the electronic device temporarily presents to the video communication session the first freeze frame video in place of the first video feed as video content from the first participant device.

  • Patent number: 12279072
Abstract: An electronic device, a method, and a computer program product provides freeze frame videos in place of a live video feed to a video communication session. A processor of the electronic device determines that a local participant is connected via the electronic device to an ongoing video communication session with second participants having corresponding second participant devices. The processor captures, via an image capturing device, local video encompassing the local participant. The processor determines a video segment of the local video to identify as a freeze frame video. The processor presents the freeze frame video to the video communication session in response to a trigger condition that pauses a presentation of live video feed of the local participant to the video communication session. The processor loops the presentation of the freeze frame video until an expiration of a threshold maximum time established for presenting the freeze frame video.

  • Patent number: 12185027
Abstract: An electronic system, a method, and a computer program product generate a video recording or stream with spherical background effects for video generation with automatic gesture-control background positioning for a spatially constrained user. The method includes extracting a foreground image from an image stream of the field of view captured by the image capturing device. The method includes generating a composite image stream of the foreground image superimposed on the spherical background image. The method includes identifying, within the image stream, that the foreground image is in a physically constrained space defined by physical constraint(s) around at least a portion of a background of the foreground image. In response to identifying that the foreground image is in a physically constrained space, the method includes activating a gesture-controlled background repositioning feature of the electronic system to automatically rotate a spherical background image based on receipt of a gesture control input.

  • Patent number: 12184982
Abstract: An apparatus for autonomous form factor control of a foldable mobile device includes a processor that determines a current form factor of the foldable mobile device and senses a forward motion or a backward motion of a subject within a field of view of a camera of the device. In response to forward motion of a user, the processor raises a pointing elevation angle of the camera to maintaining the user within the field of view by autonomously controlling the hinge angle between the first device housing and the second device housing of the foldable mobile device and in response to backward motion the processor lowers the pointing elevation angle by autonomously using shape memory actuators to control the hinge angle in the direction determined based on the form factor.

  • Patent number: 12107906
Abstract: An electronic device, computer program product, and method are provided that prompt a person who is participating in a video communication session with at least one second electronic device to gaze toward a local image capturing device. A controller of the electronic devices receives an image stream from an image capturing device having a field of view that incorporates a person that is proximate to the display device.
