Abstract: A transaction and payment and processing system securely conducts transactions over the public telephone network. The transactions may be between and among entities of any type such as individuals, merchants, utilities, banks, etc. Nothing more than access to a telephone is required after initial registration of a user.

Abstract: Apparatus used to create storage space on the outside of a backpack and method for using such apparatus are described. The storage apparatus comprises a restraining device configured to store items on the outside of a backpack and an assembly for connecting the restraining device to a backpack. This assembly contains a grasping device and a connection device removably attached to the grasping device so that the fabric of the backpack is retained between the grasping device and the connection device. Items can then be stored on the outside of the backpack under the restraining device or the items can be attached to the restraining device itself. Using the connection assembly, the restraining device can be quickly attached to a wide variety of locations on the backpack and can be used with a wide variety of types, sizes, and shapes of backpacks. Other embodiments are also described.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for abating insects in an efficient, cost effective and environmentally pleasing manner is disclose. In one embodiment, the apparatus is formed of an exterior hollow and perforated pipe-like structure that can be made in various lengths and widths depending on its application. The outer structure holds the interior components of the device and serves as a means for attaching the device to a support structure, such as a fence, the ground or other surface. The outer structure also allows the device to be suspended from its support structure where circumstances make hanging of the device a more desirable installation. In another embodiment, a plurality of bait stations is provided. The bait stations may be jointed together end to end to form the apparatus.
