    Abstract: An interface system supports a load from a surface. A disc-shaped base member is adapted to be secured to a supporting surface. A flexible member has one portion secured to the base member and another portion extends from the base member in a flexible loop to attach and support a tensile load. A cavity in the base member faces an inner surface thereof and contains an adhesive to secure the one portion of the flexible member, and an opening in the center of the base member extends from the cavity to the outer surface to pass the load-bearing flexible loop from the center of the base member and provide a flexible attachment for the tensile load in the center of the base member.

    Abstract: A method and means for bonding an object to a surface use emitted light from a chemiluminescent source to cure a photo-curable adhesive. This non-electrical source of light cures different photo-curable adhesives which can be tuned to different wavelengths of light emitted by different chemiluminescent sources. The curing is relatively quick and requires no electrical lighting in a wide range of environmental conditions, including under water and in air, with little or no ancillary support. An inexpensive and expendable photo-curable adhesive system is provided which is greatly simplified as compared to electrically powered curing systems.

    Abstract: A liquid-insulated garment supplements the inherent thermal protection va of traditional suit insulations in conventional passive diving suits with bladders containing insulating liquids having substantially the same densities as water and thermal conductivities of less than 0.070 Btu/ft-hr.degree. F. to provide insulation from ambient cold. The additional thermal protection created by the liquid-insulated garment helps the diver surpass the performance and acceptable duration constraints imposed by conventional drysuits or wetsuits and allows easy adjustments to the level of thermal comfort required by the diver. It additionally reduces the inherent buoyant forces associated with conventional drysuits and wetsuits, and provides uniform thermal protection over the entire surface of the diver's body since it is tailored to fit the diver.
