Abstract: An appliance is provided with trim about at least a portion of the periphery of its door as well as a cabinet forming a compartment which the door encloses. The trim on the door provides a flush appearance for the appliance while providing adjustability of the door with respect to the cabinet to satisfy gasket spacing requirements therebetween. The door, therefore, may be adjusted without affecting the flush appearance of the appliance created by the trim of the door.

Abstract: A room air conditioner which is easily assembled by virtue of a base pan having a plurality of vertically oriented fasteners secured thereto for retaining various components of the air conditioner including the compressor, condenser assembly, evaporator assembly and a barrier wall. A novel motor mount is provided which is also secured to a plurality of the vertically oriented fasteners of the base pan. A separate control box assembly is secured to the evaporator assembly via vertically oriented fasteners and is kept clear of any air flow path through the air conditioner.

Abstract: A room air conditioner in which separate lateral air outlets are provided for returning chilled air to the room. A blower wheel is used to draw air into the air conditioner through the evaporator and a housing for the blower wheel has two volute openings that lead to separate connecting passages to the outlet openings. An easily removable filter is provided at the front panel of the air conditioner which does not require removal of the front panel for its removal. Also a highly effective exhaust air door is provided in at least one of the connecting passages for use in exhausting air from the room.
