  • Publication number: 20170222410
Abstract: A wire stripping machine is utilized to cut and remove the insulation material from an electrical wire. A first roller blade and a second roller blade are rotatably mounted within an enclosure. An electrical wire may be fed in between the first roller blade and the second roller blade in order to cut and remove the insulation material from the electrical wire. The first roller blade is rotated by a drive assembly including a first drive gear and a motor. The first drive gear is connected to a second drive gear and the second roller blade by a chain that allows the second roller blade to rotate along with the first roller blade. The position of the second roller blade relative to the first roller blade may be adjusted in order to accommodate electrical wires of varying diameters.

  • Patent number: 4869140
Abstract: An adjustable precision live center is provided for use with lathes having a spindle housing slidably interlocking with a shank block by operation of a dovetail tenon mated to a dovetail mortise of said shank block. A spindle is rotatably coupled to the spindle housing, extending rearward through the dovetail tenon of the spindle housing. Precision adjustment of the spindle housing relative to the shank bock is made possible by an adjustment bolt.

  • Patent number: 4753001
Abstract: A coated wire with a metal core is inserted between two rollers, at least one of which has a plurality of circumferential cutting edges. The rollers are adjusted to firmly grasp the wire. The cutting edges of the first roller are axially staggered relative to the cutting edges of the second roller. The distance between the cutting edges of each roller increases along the length of each roller. The depths of the grooves between the cutting edges of each roller differs at selected sections of each roller relative to other sections in each roller, and the width of the grooves is adapted to be less than the diameter of the wire to be stripped. The rollers are rotated at different speeds and in opposite directions to advance the wire through the rollers, slice the coating or jacket, and remove it from the metal core.

  • Patent number: 4492014
Abstract: A jet engine compressor stage puller engages the lip of each disk and spa section of a jet engine compressor, and the end of the compressor shaft. A guide bar has a central threaded hole through which a bolt is threaded. A cup integral with the bolt engages the end of the compressor shaft. A pair of guide rods pass through slots in the guide bar, the slots being symmetrical about the central threaded hole. Shoes attached to the ends of the guide rods engage the lip of each disk or spacer section to be removed. As the bolt is rotated a force is exerted to pull the shoes upward, and thus loosen the disk and spacer stages without danger of damage to compressor parts or hazard to personnel.
