Abstract: A wheel brush for a wheelchair has a brush assembly that is slidably disposed within a main housing and biased therein via a spring. A brush head is held within one end of the brush assembly so that a portion of the bristles of the assembly extend beyond an open end of the main housing. The device is attached to a brake arm of the wheelchair via a mount member that has a channel such that the brake arm is received within the channel. The wheellock assembly pushes the device toward a rear wheel of the wheelchair such that the bristles engage the wheel and brush dirt off the wheel as the wheelchair rolls being biased thereonto by the spring. The mount member acts as the brake arm for the wheelchair.

Abstract: A wheel brush for a wheelchair has a brush housing that has a longitudinal channel and an open bottom. A brush head is slidably received within the channel such that bristles located on the brush head extend out through the open bottom of the brush housing. The brush housing is attached to a back of a wheelchair via a connecting arm so as to position the bristles in engaging relationship with a portion of one of the rear wheels of the wheelchair. The connecting arm is either attached directly to the wheelchair or is attached to the wheelchair via a bracket, the bracket attached to the wheelchair and having a slot such that a leg of the connecting arm is received within the slot.

A brush head is slidably received within the channel such that bristles located on the brush head extend out through the open bottom of the brush housing. The open bottom is sufficiently narrow as to prevent the brush head from passing therepast. A resilient clip is attached to the brush housing and is clipped to a vertical post of the wheelchair, such as the arm rest post, and is positioned so that the bristles engage a portion of the outer periphery of one of the wheels so as to brush clean the wheels whenever the wheelchair rolls and the rear wheels rotate.
