Publication number: 20160092470Abstract: Provided are techniques for visualization of addresses. Search criteria for an entity is received. One or more addresses for the entity are identified based on the search criteria. For each of the one or more addresses, a floor associated with the entity at that address is identified, related information for the floor that includes photographs of views seen from that floor are identified, and, on a 2-dimensional (2-D) electronic map, a 3-dimensional (3-D) structure that indicates the floor and provides access to the related information is plotted.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 18, 2015Publication date: March 31, 2016Inventors: Billy W. Chang, Sarbajit K. Rakshit

Publication number: 20160091332Abstract: A set of images that each include a time and a date of image capture, a location of image capture, and a directional bearing of image capture are evaluated. The direction bearing of image capture specifies a direction of image capture relative to the respective location of image capture of each image. Images are correlated among the set of images that include a comparable date, time, and location of image capture. By analysis of image content within the correlated images, a determination is made that the correlated images include different directional representations of a single event, and that the single event is distinct from static fixed-location points of interest. Using the directional bearing of image capture of each correlated image, a location of an intersection region that results from intersecting directional bearings of image capture of the correlated images is identified as a dynamic attraction.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 29, 2014Publication date: March 31, 2016Inventors: Billy W. Chang, Sarbajit K. Rakshit

Patent number: 9288622Abstract: Aggregated geo-fencing area based information delivery, in one aspect, may include determining a plurality of first geo-fencing areas of a first user based on monitoring or detecting locations of the first user. The locations may be detected via one or more user selected devices, which include location-aware devices such as GPS receiver/transmitter devices. A second user identifier may be received from the first user. One or more second geo-fencing areas of a second user may be determined, for example, similarly to the first geo-fencing areas. Content may be gathered based on aggregated geo-fencing area comprising the plurality of first geo-fencing areas and the one or more second geo-fencing areas. The content associated with the aggregated geo-fencing area may be presented, for example, for collaborative activity among the users.Type: GrantFiled: August 21, 2014Date of Patent: March 15, 2016Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Billy W. Patent number: 9268825Abstract: Provided are a computer implemented method, computer program product, and system for presenting a combined search results summary in a graphical view. Selection of two or more search results are received, wherein each of the two or more search results has an associated search result summary, and wherein each associated search result summary includes one or more entries. Relationships between the one or more entries of each associated search result summary and strengths of the relationships are identified. A graphical view is displayed that shows the one or more entries of each associated search result summary, the relationships, and the strengths of those relationships.Type: GrantFiled: September 3, 2013Date of Patent: February 23, 2016Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Billy W. Patent number: 9262512Abstract: Provided are a computer program product for generating suggestions for an input string. A determination is made of strings in a user selected data source having at least a substring matching an input string, from a computer implemented user interface, comprising at least one character for use by a computer implemented process. The determined strings are provided to the user interface and selection is received of one of the determined strings from the user interface to provide to the computer implemented process.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 2013Date of Patent: February 16, 2016Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Billy W. Patent number: 9256687Abstract: A computer performs a search. The computer receives a search request including a search term, and determines a plurality of association rules that are each a logical implication that the appearance of the search term follows from the appearance, in a corpus of data, of at least one keyword. The computer generates a search matrix having a plurality of cells, and having axes labeled with a plurality of keywords, wherein at least one cell of the search matrix is associated with an association rule of the plurality of association rules. Based on a cell selection of the search matrix, the computer generates an augmented search string including the search term and at least one keyword of the plurality of association rules. The computer performs a search using the augmented search string.Type: GrantFiled: June 28, 2013Date of Patent: February 9, 2016Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Billy W.
