  • Patent number: 11952897
Abstract: A system for remotely operating a machine, such as a mine vehicle, includes at least one first emitter for emitting a first signal corresponding to a first zone adjacent to the machine. A transmitter is provided for receiving the first signal emitted by the emitter, the transmitter being adapted for issuing commands for controlling the machine and also indicating the presence of the transmitter in the first zone. A controller is also provided for controlling the machine based on the control signals from the transmitter based on the presence of the transmitter in the first zone. Related methods are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11925202
Abstract: A smoking article may include a cigarette incorporated within an electrically powered aerosol generating device that acts as a holder for that cigarette. The smoking article possesses at least one form of tobacco. The smoking article also possesses a mouth-end piece that is used by the smoker to inhale components of tobacco that are generated by the action of heat upon components of the cigarette. A representative smoking article possesses an outer housing incorporating a source of electrical power (e.g., a battery), a sensing mechanism for powering the device at least during periods of draw, and a heating device (e.g., at least one electrical resistance heating element) for forming a thermally generated aerosol that incorporates components of tobacco. During use, the cigarette is positioned within the device, and after use, the used cigarette is removed from the device and replaced with another cigarette.

  • Patent number: 9695670
Abstract: A slurry mixing system calculates a density of a slurry using measured pressure differential and based on a bulk velocity of the slurry. Slurry from mixing of dry blend and mix fluid enters a one or more tanks having agitators. A pump then pumps the slurry from the tank(s) to the well, and a portion of the slurry is recirculating back to a mixer. From the recirculated path, a direct slurry weight sensor measures a pressure differential of the slurry between two vertical measurement points of a known volume. The sensor can measure a velocity of the recirculated slurry, or the recirculated slurry can be maintained at a velocity. Based on these measures, the controller calculates a density of the slurry, monitors a ratio of the dry blend and the mix fluid, and adjusts the ratio based on the calculated density of the slurry if there is a discrepancy.

  • Publication number: 20140148263
Abstract: The “No Peek Putting” device is a golf putting training device which is designed to eliminate a golfer's urge to pick up or turn their head to peek or look at the golf ball as it begins to roll down the target line toward the golf hole. This simple designed golf putting training device is nothing more than a small rectangular shaped panel that sits 3 to 4 inches above the putting surface on four legs. This elevation allows the golf ball to roll under the putting device out of the golfer's view which eliminates the urge to peek or look at the golf ball as it rolls down the target line. It has a slot cut part way into the “Putter Side” of the device to allow the putter shaft to pass into the “No Peek Putting” training aid; this slot is called the “Stroke Groove”. The “Stroke Groove” is designed to keep the putter on the target line and gives the golfer a proper feel of a “free flowing” putting stroke because NO contact with the training device is made with the putter.
