Patent number: 8966294Abstract: A power converter comprises an input port configured to receive a source of power, an output port configured to provide output power, and a bridge circuit coupled to the input port. The bridge circuit comprises a first switch coupled in series with a second switch, and a third switch coupled in series with a fourth switch. A first clamp rectifier is coupled in series with a second clamp rectifier, and the first and second clamp rectifiers are coupled in parallel with the first and second switches. A first clamp capacitor is coupled between the first and second clamp rectifiers, with the first clamp capacitor operative to reduce power loss in the first and second clamp rectifiers. A first resonant inductor is coupled between the first and second switches. The power converter also includes a transformer operatively coupled to the bridge circuit, with the transformer comprising a primary winding and at least one secondary winding.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 2011Date of Patent: February 24, 2015Assignee: Intersil Americas LLCInventors: Xiaodong (David) Zhan, Long (Robin) Yu, Shijia (Billy) Yang

Patent number: 7014273Abstract: A spoked wheel spinner (20) that is used on an automotive wheel (22) that includes an adapter plate (24) that is mounted onto the automotive wheel (22) with a spinner bearing (26) retained within the adapter plate. A spinner shaft (30) is positioned onto the bearing with a bladed spinner (38) attached onto the spinner shaft. This arrangement permits the bladed spinner (38) to freely rotate independent of the automotive wheel. A cap bearing (50) is located on the spinner shaft (30) with a non-rotating cap (52) interfacing with the cap bearing. The non-rotating cap (52) includes a counter-weight (60) on the bottom edge so that when the automotive wheel (22) is rotating, the cap remains in a relatively fixed position without rotating. A cover (64) having indicia is attached to the cap permitting writing, symbols, designs and the like to be displayed.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 2004Date of Patent: March 21, 2006Inventors: Billy Yang, Mark J. Patent number: 6826487Abstract: A method comprises (A) defining a first experimental space comprising factors of at least two mixtures with at least one common factor, (B) defining a second experimental space by deleting duplicate factor combinations from the first experimental space and (C) conducting an experiment on the second experimental space. A system comprises a processor that (A) defines a first experimental space comprising factors of at least two mixtures with at least one common factor and (B) defines a second experimental space by deleting duplicate factor combinations from the first experimental space. The system also comprises a reactor and evaluator to select a best case set of factors from the second experimental space by a combinatorial high throughput screening (CHTS) method to select a best case set of factors from the second experimental space.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 2000Date of Patent: November 30, 2004Assignee: General Electric CompanyInventors: James Norman Cawse, Ronald James Wroczynski, Darchun Billy Yang
