  • Patent number: 7817622
Abstract: In a method for mobile access of a mobile device for a system providing cellular and non-cellular mobile access, the system comprises a serving node, a packet gateway node and the mobile device. The method comprises the steps of negotiating a direct tunneling connection between the mobile device and the packet gateway node by the serving node, wherein the direct tunneling connection is only dedicated to packet switched traffic of the mobile device using the non-cellular mobile access, and establishing the direct tunneling connection between the mobile device and the packet gateway node by the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 7558204
Abstract: The invention relates to a system, device, method and computer program product for controlling the flows of a plurality of Data Units (DUs) over logical links, the system comprising at least two first-type Link Control (LC) entities (40-1a . . . 40-8a), wherein each first-type LC entity transforms a first-type DU into a second-type DU and vice versa, and provides a first interface (43-1 . . . 43-8a) for the first-type DUs and a second interface for the second type DUs, and a second-type LC entity (5a) with interfaces (50-1a . . . 50-8a) for the second-type DUs, wherein the second interface of each of the first-type LC entities (40-1a . . . 40-8a) is directly connected to one respective interface (50-1a . . . 50-8a) of the second-type LC entity (5a), and wherein the second-type LC entity (5a) comprises a flow control device (52a) for separately controlling the respective flows of the second-type DUs, which are transferred over its respective interfaces (50-1a . . . 50-8a).

  • Patent number: 7266081
Abstract: The invention relates to arranging data flow control in a data transfer system comprising a sender and at least two protocol entities serving the transmission of data from the sender. The originating protocol entity of a suspension request primitive is checked. Suspension is set as the data transmission status for the protocol entity that has originated a suspension request primitive. The originating protocol entity of a resume request primitive is checked before sending it to the sender. Also the status information is checked. Transmission of the resume request primitive to the sender is prevented if suspension is set for any other protocol entity than the originating protocol entity of the resume request primitive.
