  • Patent number: 8514181
Abstract: A pressure sensitive and luminous keyboard includes at least one key, a pressure detecting circuit, an illumination module and a controlling unit. When one of the plural keys is depressed in response to a first pressure, the pressure detecting circuit generates a pressure-strength sensing voltage. According to the pressure-strength sensing voltage, the controlling unit will judge the strength of the first pressure and control the illumination module to emit either the first light beam or the second light beam.

  • Patent number: 8314352
Abstract: A two-level pressure sensitive keyboard includes at least one key and a membrane switch circuit module. The membrane switch circuit module includes a first contact, a second contact, a first spacing layer for separating the first contact from the second contact, a third contact, a fourth contact, and a second spacing layer for separating the third contact from the fourth contact. The thickness of the second spacing layer is greater than that of the first spacing layer. When the key is depressed in response to the first pressure, the first contact and the second contact are electrically connected with each other to generate a first sensing signal. When the key is depressed in response to the second pressure, the first contact and the second contact are electrically connected with each other and the third contact and fourth contact are electrically connected with each other to generate a second sensing signal.

  • Publication number: 20120019444
Abstract: A keyboard with a mode-switching function is provided. The keyboard includes at least one key, a pressure sensing circuit, an illumination module, a mode-switching program and a controlling unit. The mode-switching program is executable to enable both the pressure sensing circuit and the illumination module, so that the keyboard is operated in a pressure sensitive and luminous mode. The pressure sensing circuit is used for detecting the pressure, and generating a corresponding pressure-strength sensing voltage in response to the pressure. According to the pressure-strength sensing voltage, the illumination module is controlled by the controlling unit to emit either a first light beam or a second light beam.

  • Publication number: 20030201976
Abstract: An electronic mouse is a three-dimensional structure composed by a bottom face, a holding face, a supporting face and a handling face. The holding face is used for fingers to grip; the handling face is used for fingers to press; the supporting face is used for a palm to prop and thereby to drive the bottom face of the mouse to move on a carried surface. A cavity is formed at an appropriate location of the bottom face, and a ball cover having a circular hole is combined to the cavity, and a ball is received in the cavity and protrudes through the circular hole to be in contact with the carried surface.

  • Publication number: 20020063680
Abstract: An encoder module for use in an input device of a graphic user interface (GUI) is disclosed. The encoder module includes a disk key disposed outside a housing of the input device, an upright shaft coupled to the disk key, an encoder consisting of a fixed contact electrode formed on a circuit board and a rotatable contact electrode sleeved around the shaft, and a switch consisting of a conductive electrode formed on the circuit board and a sheet conductor mounted on the circuit board and spaced from the conductive electrode. By exerting a rotating force on the disk key, the rotatable contact electrode rotates accordingly to exhibit different contact status with the fixed contact electrode so as to generate a signal indicative of a rotation quantity. By exerting a pressing force on the disk key, the sheet conductor is deformed to be in contact with the conductive electrode so as to generate a signal indicative of a conductive state to complete the input operation.
