    Abstract: A lighting apparatus includes a rectifier, a 0-10 V dimmer converter, a power circuit and a light source. The rectifier for receives an AC power from an AC input to generate a DC current. The TRIAC wall switch is selectively coupled to the AC input. The TRIAC wall switch is operated by a user with an first manual operation to suppress a portion of the AC power from the AC input corresponding to the first manual operation. The 0-10 V dimmer converter is selectively coupled to a 0-10 V dimmer. The 0-10 V dimmer converts a dimmer voltage of the 0-10 V dimmer to a dimmer signal corresponding to a second manual operation of the user. The power circuit is coupled to the 0-10 V dimmer converter and the rectifier to convert the DC current to a set of driving current. The light source includes multiple LED modules.

    Abstract: A thermophotovoltaic panel assembly including a heat sink and a plurality of thermophotovoltaic modules mounted on the heat sink. Each thermophotovoltaic module includes a photovoltaic element separated from an emitter assembly by a gap. The emitter assembly includes an emitter and applies force towards the photovoltaic element to maintain the gap. The thermophotovoltaic panel assembly may also utilize a force application layer on the emitter and be bolted in place. A housing can be used for protection and to transfer energy to the emitter. The heat sink cantilevers into the housing to define a space between the thermophotovoltaic modules and the inner surface of the housing. Preferably, the housing maintains a vacuum and, in turn, the gap is evacuated. The heat sink can be monolithic and cooled with fluid pumped therethrough. The emitter may be transparent or at least partially transmissive.

A fullerene-like carbon layer A having an onion-like structure is prepared by high-vacuum medium-frequency magnetron sputtering for 30 s. A graphene-like boron nitride layer B is prepared by high-vacuum medium-frequency magnetron sputtering and coating device to sputter the elemental boron target for 30 s. Steps (3) and (4) are repeated 80 times to overlay the fullerene-like carbon layer A and the graphene-like boron nitride layer B in an alternate way. The super-lubricative multi-layer composite fullerene-like carbon layer/graphene-like boron nitride thin film has a large load capacity, and excellent wear resistance, high temperature resistance and super lubrication.
