  • Patent number: 10651603
Abstract: An electrical connector comprises a housing having a mating direction, a width direction orthogonal to the mating direction and a height direction orthogonal to the mating direction and the width direction. Low speed signal contacts and high speed signal contacts are arranged in the housing. Ground bars are each disposed between adjacent two of the contacts. A support member is attached to the housing and engaged to the ground bars. The support member has a main body disposed along the width direction and fingers extending laterally from the main body. Each of the fingers being in alignment with one of the low speed signal contacts along the mounting direction. The fingers are positioned away from the high speed contacts to achieve better signal integrity and crosstalk reduction.
