    Abstract: A display device comprises a display panel and a backlight source, the display panel having an upper substrate and a lower substrate disposed opposite to the upper substrate. The display device further includes a transparent solar battery arranged at the upper substrate, a photosensitive coating arranged in a non-transparent region of the display panel and configured to sense the light from the backlight source, and a signal processing unit connected to the photosensitive coating and the transparent solar battery. The signal processing unit determines the working state of the display device according to changes in resistance of the photosensitive coating, and makes the transparent solar battery recharge or not recharge a rechargeable battery of the display panel.
