    Abstract: A method for detachment of a mobile set within the equivalent route area moving between the communication systems comprising steps of: during the detachment process is implemented between a mobile set and a service node in one communication system, the service node generates one or more messages and transmits it to the service nodes in one or more communication system within the ERA. If the message is transmitted to the service node within the ERA of only one communication system, this service node transmits this message or the message generated according to this message to the service nodes within the ERA of the other communication system. With the method proposed in present invention, when a mobile is detached from two or more communication systems which share the same ERA, the service nodes in all communication systems within the ERA can still correctly manage the relevant information on this mobile set.

    Abstract: A Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) handover method is provided. The method comprises a mobile station receiving probe frames sent in a predefined time interval from a current associated access point and an adjacent access point during a preset time period. The station obtains and stores a signal strength for each access point based on the beacon frames. The station performs fuzzy processing of the signal strengths and change rates of the signal strengths to obtain fuzzy data characterizing levels of the signal strengths and the change rates. The station performs fuzzy reasoning based on the fuzzy data to obtain reasoning outputs. A target access point is determined by the station based on the reasoning outputs. The station authenticates with the target access point, and sends a re-association request frame to the target access point. Re-association is established after a re-association response frame is received by the station.

    Abstract: A variable sub-carrier mapping method comprising steps of: applying different bit interleaving schemes to different transmissions of a hybrid automatic retransmission request (HARQ) process in side of transmitter; and in the side of the transmitter, modulating symbols onto sub-carriers for transmitting. Different transmissions in one HARQ process adopt different bit interleavers or different symbol-to-sub-carrier mapping methods so as to realize that the same bit of different transmissions in one HARQ process is transmitted via different sub-carriers. Therefore, the system achieves the frequency diversity gain and reduces the probability of failure of HARQ transmission caused by that some bits are always transmitted via the sub-carrier with the same deep fading. In this way, the average HARQ retransmission times can be reduced and the system throughput can be improved.
