In one embodiment a system includes a database, an event detector, and a structured query language (“SQL”) enumerator. The event detector is configured to identify a received request as producing one or more database query language statements and to define an event delimiting processing of the request. The SQL enumerator is configured to record, based on the event, information indicative of how the database processed the statements produced during the event. The SQL enumerator is further configured to provide the recorded information and an indication of a relationship of the information to the request to an issuer of the request.
