The processor is configured to obtain a distribution state of a user equipment, and determine to use a channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS) mechanism based on the distribution state of the user equipment. In addition, the processor is further configured to generate indication information, the indication information being used for indicating to the user equipment the CSI-RS to be used. Besides, the processor is further configured to control to send the CSI-RS to the user equipment according to the CSI-RS mechanism.

The electronic device includes one or more processing circuits, and is configured to: respond to a measurement instruction from a base station in a wireless communication system, and separately measure channel state information reference signals (CSI-RSs) on one or more antenna ports; and generate feedback information according to the measurement result, so that the base station selects, from the one or more antenna ports, an antenna port used for transmitting to the CSI-RSs to the electronic device, the feedback information including occupation information of occupation condition of each of the one or more antenna ports. Port selection for CSI-RSs can be implemented, beamforming CSI-RS interference between cells and within a cell can be reduced, and system performance can be improved only requiring very low signaling overheads.
