Abstract: A satellite receiver and a communication method for satellite receivers are described. The satellite receiver is in a network having a plurality of satellite receivers. Each of the plurality of satellite receivers is allocated with a unique address. The satellite receiver comprises: a first module for transmitting a message according to DiSEqC protocol over a co-axial cable to one or more of other satellite receivers in the network, the message indicating the address of the one or more of other satellite receivers; and a second module for receiving a message over the co-axial cable from one or more of other satellite receivers in the network.
