Abstract: Methods and network devices are disclosed for precision time protocol (PTP) clock synchronization. According to an embodiment, there is a link aggregation group (LAG) between a first network device acting as a PTP slave and a second network device acting as a PTP master. The first network device obtains, for a first LAG member of the LAG acting as a first path from the PTP master to the PTP slave in an exchange of PTP messages for clock synchronization, a delay value reflecting an additional propagation delay of the first LAG member relative to a reference LAG member of the LAG. The first network device obtains, for a second LAG member of the LAG acting as a second path from the PTP slave to the PTP master in the exchange of the PTP messages, a delay value reflecting an additional propagation delay of the second LAG member relative to the reference LAG member.
