    Abstract: Platinum (II) terdentate or bidentate complexes with non-linear optical properties are provided. The complexes have a broadband spectral and temporal response, and strong reverse saturable absorption and two-photon absorption in the visible and the near-IR region. As such, the complexes are useful for organic light-emitting diodes and optical-switching or sensing devices.
