  • Patent number: 7004809
Abstract: A durable illuminant with simple structure and stable discharge characteristics is provided. Discharge electrodes fixed to respective sealing spacers are inserted into a housing from both ends, the housing constructed from a cylindrical glass material with equal inner radii at both open ends. A discharge chamber is filled with a discharge gas and the sealing spacers are fused and fixed to the housing at this condition.

  • Patent number: 6891709
Abstract: Surface mounting caps 14 are placed onto both ends of a cylindrical housing 12 of a surge absorber element 10. The surface mounting cap 14 is formed by pressing a phosphor bronze plate, and comprises a cap bottom section 30 and a flange section 16. The flange section 16 grabs the outer peripheral end of the cylindrical housing 12 and lead lines 26 of the surge absorber element 10 are snapped and maintained by a binding section 38 provided at the cap bottom section 30.

Abstract: An durable illuminant with simple structure and stable discharge characteristics is provided. Discharge electrodes 14 and 15 fixed to respective sealing spacers 16 and 17 are inserted into a housing 13 from both ends, the housing constructed from a cylindrical glass material with equal inner radii at both open ends. A discharge chamber 18 is filled with a discharge gas and the sealing spacers 16 and 17 are fused and fixed to the housing 13 at this condition.

  • Publication number: 20020075125
Abstract: There is provided a surge absorber without chips that has a simple structure, has a broad range of surge switching voltage, and can perform stable surge absorption. Discharge electrodes 18,20 are formed on tips of lead terminals 14,16 by pressing. Sealing spacers 22,24 are welded on the lead terminals 14,16. These spacers 22,24 are inserted inside a housing 10 and fixed on the housing 10 by welding. Discharge electrodes 18,20 having different diameters can be arbitrarily formed on lead terminals having identical diameters.

  • Patent number: 6366439
Abstract: There is provided a surge absorber without chips in which a pair of discharge electrodes arranged facing to each other in a housing 1 are fixed by welding of the housing 1 with a distance between the discharge electrodes maintained. Clean and dry air or a mixed gas mainly comprising such air is sealed in an air chamber 4.
