Abstract: An aerosol provision system including an aerosol provision device; and an aerosol generating component, the aerosol provision device including a power source; and a controller, the aerosol provision device being configured for engagement with the aerosol generating component, the aerosol generating component including an aerosol generator for, in use, generating an aerosol; and, a pod downstream of the aerosol generator, wherein the controller of the aerosol provision device is configured to monitor a lifetime of the pod and to facilitate modulation of the temperature experienced by the pod over its lifetime.
