    Abstract: An antenna and radiation unit thereof, and balun structure of radiation unit are disclosed. The radiation unit has two dipoles belonging to a same polarization and two feeding components respectively feeding the two dipoles. One end of each of the two feeding components is electrically connected to its corresponding dipole, and the other end of each of the two feeding components is combined through a same physical combining port inherent in the radiation unit. By arranging a combining port inherent to the radiation unit and connecting it to a respective end of two feeding components connected to two dipoles of the same polarization, the signals of the two dipoles are divided/combined through the combining port.

    Abstract: A phase shifter of cavity type includes an integrally formed cavity, a feeding network disposed inside the cavity, a dielectric element disposed between the feeding network and the cavity, and at least one transmission-line transformation device. The at least one transmission-line transformation device is connected with the cavity by welding for connecting an outer conductor of a transmission cable, and for passing an inner conductor of the transmission cable into the cavity and being connected with the feeding network. Phase shifting is achieved by straight movement of the dielectric element along the longitudinal direction of the cavity. For the phase shifter of cavity type, the cavity and transmission-line transformation device are individually designed, and as a result, difficulty in design and manufacture is decreased. In addition, fasteners such as screws are not used for securing the phase shifter, thus avoiding reliability and inter-modulation problems resulted from failure of screws.

By providing a number of rails between the phase shifting circuit and the dielectric element, direct contact between the dielectric element and a feeding network is prevented. As a result, no additional force will be imposed on the feeding network and reliability is enhanced. The cavity has multiple enclosing walls and a chamber defined by said multiple enclosing walls. The chamber is intended for accommodating the microwave network circuit therein. A wiring slot is defined in at least one of the enclosing walls, and at least one first through hole extended through the chamber is provided on each wiring slot. The microwave component of cavity type features small size, simple structure, and wide application. Furthermore, cost may be reduced, batch production may be achieved, use of fasteners such as screws is avoided, and the passive inter-modulation products caused by fasteners are eliminated, as the microwave component is secured without any screws.
