Patent number: 11685251Abstract: A planetary gear train transmission device of a hybrid vehicle is provided, which belongs to the technical field of transmissions. A transmission device of a hybrid vehicle based on a planetary gear train, which has a simple structure and is convenient to maintain is provided. The transmission device is composed of two motors, two clutches, one simple planetary gear train, and one complex planetary gear train. One motor is mainly used for generating power, and the other motor is used for driving the vehicle to move forward and brake to recover energy. Selection of different speed ratios and different working modes can be achieved by means of different combinations of the clutches and the planetary gear trains and different working states of the engine and the two motors. The present disclosure is convenient to control, has a compact structure, and adopts a few of parts.Type: GrantFiled: April 19, 2022Date of Patent: June 27, 2023Assignee: HARBIN DONGAN AUTOMOTIVE ENGINE MANUFACTURING CO., LTD.Inventors: Jing Ma, Lin Yang, Wei Guan, Shutao Yao, Binlong Li, Junyuan Su, Ming Song, Chaowei Li, Chongsheng Bi, Jing Bai, Hongyuan Zhao, Wensheng Wu, Hong Zhou, Xueyong Han, Ling Mu

Patent number: 10819951Abstract: Techniques for recording video from a bitstream are described. In at least some implementations, video data generated as part of a communication session is recorded. According to various implementations, techniques described herein enable portions of an encoded bitstream of video data to be directly recorded as encoded frames and without requiring re-encoding of decoded frames.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 2017Date of Patent: October 27, 2020Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: You Zhou, Chih-lung Lin, Mei-Hsuan Lu, Binlong Li, Ming-Chieh Lee

Patent number: 10462480Abstract: The detailed description presents innovations in performing motion estimation during digital video media encoding. In one example embodiment, motion estimation is performed using a lower-complexity sub-pixel interpolation filter configured to compute sub-pixel values for two or more candidate prediction regions at a sub-pixel offset, the two or more candidate prediction regions being located in one or more reference frames. For a selected one of the candidate prediction regions at the sub-pixel offset, motion compensation is performed using a higher-complexity sub-pixel interpolation filter.Type: GrantFiled: December 31, 2014Date of Patent: October 29, 2019Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: You Zhou, Chih-Lung Lin, Binlong Li, Ming-Chieh Lee

Patent number: 10038917Abstract: Innovations are presented that reduce the computational complexity of video encoding by selectively skipping certain evaluation stages during intra-picture prediction. A video encoder receives and encodes a current picture. As part of the encoding, for a current block of the current picture, the video encoder evaluates at least some intra-picture prediction modes (“IPPMs”). According to a search strategy, the video encoder selectively skips time-consuming evaluation of certain IPPMs for the current block when those IPPMs are not expected to improve rate-distortion performance, which can dramatically speed up the encoding process. For example, the video encoder conditionally performs a gradient search among angular IPPMs. Or, as another example, the video encoder selectively skips evaluation of IPPMs depending on a cost of encoding the current block using motion compensation. Or, as another example, the video encoder prioritizes IPPMs evaluated for a block of chroma sample values.Type: GrantFiled: June 12, 2015Date of Patent: July 31, 2018Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: You Zhou, Chih-Lung Lin, Ming-Chieh Lee, Binlong Li

Publication number: 20170034530Abstract: Innovations are provided for encoding and/or decoding video and/or image content using reduced size inverse transforms. For example, a reduced size inverse transform can be performed during encoding or decoding of video or image content using a subset of coefficients (e.g., primarily non-zero coefficients) of a given block. For example, a bounding area can be determined for a block that encompasses the non-zero coefficients of the block. Meta-data for the block can then be generated, including a shortcut code that indicates whether a reduced size inverse transform will be performed. The inverse transform can then be performed using a subset of coefficients for the block (e.g., identified by the bounding area) and the meta-data, which results in decreased utilization of computing resources. The subset of coefficients and the meta-data can be transferred to a graphics processing unit (GPU), which also results in savings in terms of data transfer.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 28, 2015Publication date: February 2, 2017Applicant: MICROSOFT TECHNOLOGY LICENSING, LLCInventors: Victor Cherepanov, Yongjun Wu, Srinath Reddy, Yuechuan Li, Shyam Sadhwani, Chihlung Lin, Binlong Li
