  • Patent number: 12267197
Abstract: An apparatus for a wireless communication system is to transmit a reference signal on a common set of resource elements, REs, the common set of REs used by one or more further apparatuses in the wireless communication system to transmit the reference signal so that the reference signals of the apparatus and of the one or more further apparatuses use the same REs. The reference signal is transmit using OFDM symbols and the same sequence having a zero auto correlation property is applied to each OFDM symbol. A phase correction is applied to an OFDM symbol before transmission, wherein a correction factor of the phase correction depends on a comb factor and a comb offset of the OFDM symbol and is independent of the resource element.

  • Patent number: 12082223
Abstract: The present disclosure relates methods and apparatuses (UE, scheduler, network node) for resource allocation in a network. According to embodiments herein there are provided a new resource allocation scheme for an UL-TDOA resource allocation scheme and the related UL-PRS signals. The procedure is also applicable for RTT uplink resource allocation. The main technical effects and advantages achieved by the embodiments herein include: A resource allocation concept offering a high flexibility. The positioning update rate is configurable for each UE allowing that for semi static objects a low update rate is selected whereas for moving devices a high update rate is feasible. The signalisation overhead is minimized. The UEs may be configured semi-persistent. Using different transmit periods for each UE results in random SINR (Signal to Interference Noise Ratio) values and ensures that UEs with high pathloss are also detected.

  • Publication number: 20230273283
Abstract: An apparatus for determining a position of an entity of a wireless communication network, the comprises a position determining processor to determine a position of a first entity (gNB, UE, IoT) in the wireless communication network using one or more position measurements between the first entity and one or more second entities (gNB, UE, IoT), each of the first and second entities comprising one or more antennas to transmit and/or receive a radio signal for the position measurement. The position determining processor is to determine the position of the first entity using a transmission reception reference point, TRRP, of the radio signal at the one or more antennas of the first entity and/or the one or more second entities.

  • Patent number: 11701564
Abstract: The invention concerns a method and a system for determining a game scenario in a sports game, the system including a player module being attachable to a player, an equipment module being attachable to a sports equipment to be used in the sports game, and a computing unit. The computing unit may be configured to receive player based data from the player module and equipment based data from the equipment module, the player based data representing an activity profile of the player and the equipment based data representing a motion profile of the equipment. The computing unit may further be configured to determine, based on the activity profile of the player and on the motion profile of the equipment, one of a plurality of game scenarios involving the player and the equipment.

  • Publication number: 20220286812
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for a network entity (NE) to optimize positioning of a user equipment, UE where the reliability of the positioning of a UE depends on static circumstances and situational/environmental circumstances. Static circumstances are the sensor capabilities and sensor quality related to the UE and general system limitations, and they remain the same regardless of the position of the UE. Situational or environmental circumstances depend on the situation or environment of the UE, and they change with the position and/or other physical states of the UE. The invention teaches that the NE request a quality report from a measurement unit (MU) to enable the MU to report on quality changes due to situational or environmental circumstances to the NE in order to enable the NE to decide on the best positioning method for the UE in the current situation.
