  • Patent number: 11859318
Abstract: Described are, among other things, methods and devices for providing a learning procedure in a yarn feeding arrangement (12). The learning procedure aims at providing control data to the controller (32) about system components and behavior of system components of the yarn feeding arrangement beforehand, such that the controller has knowledge of the system components before the weaving machine (10) is started to operate at full operational speed.

  • Patent number: 6868871
Abstract: A method for controlling the motion of a yarn stopper magnet in a measuring feeder for textile machines, preferably for weaving machines of the air-or waterjet-type. The stopper magnet has an armature connected to a yarn stopper element, which armature co-acts with at least one electromagnetic coil in order to achieve the desired motion of the stopper magnet. During an initial part of the motion of the stopper element, the electromagnetic coil is supplied with a voltage with an amplitude considerably exceeding the average level of the voltage during the remaining part of the motion, in order to achieve an optimally fast motion with a low input energy amount and thereby a low heat development, as well as low kinetic energy (speed) of the stopper element at the end of its motion.

  • Publication number: 20040216498
Abstract: The invention relates mainly to a method for controlling the motion of a yarn stopper magnet in a measuring feeder for textile machines, preferably for weaving machines of air- or waterjet-type. The stopper magnet has a soft-iron armature connected to a yarn stopper element, which armature co-acts with at least one electromagnetic coil in order to achieve the desired motion of the stopper magnet. During an initial part of the time for the motion, according to the invention, said electromagnetic coil/-coils is/are supplied with a control voltage with an amplitude considerably exceeding the average level of the control voltage during the remaining part of the motion, in order to achieve an optimally fast motion with low input energy amount and thereby a low heat development, as well as low kinetic energy (speed) of the stopper element at the end of its motion.

  • Publication number: 20040188232
Abstract: The invention relates to a thread detector (F) for detecting thread path/halt conditions and/or thread tension. Said detector is provided with a deflector assembly for re-directing the thread, said assembly transmitting the stress on the thread to at least one transducer device (W), which generates a signal and responds to mechanically transmitted stresses. The deflector is also provided with at least one electronic evaluation circuit (6) for deriving output signals, (i1, i2) and with thread guides (8), which are located upstream and downstream of the deflector assembly and define the course of the thread. The deflector assembly comprises a first and second deflector (D1, D2) that lie one behind the other in the course of the thread, one of Which transmits the stress from the thread tension and the other the stress from the path/halt conditions to a respective transducer device (W).

  • Patent number: 4234864
Abstract: A transformer, with a core and windings, is arranged in a liquid-filled transformer tank and provided with an on-load tap changer suspended from the outside of the side wall of the tank. The terminal board between the tap changer and the tapping points of the transformer is arranged to incline at an angle of, for example, 30.degree. from the vertical plane.
