  • Publication number: 20230317265
Abstract: A medical system (100) provides a setting recommendation (105) for a ventilator. A data interface (110) receives static patient data that includes values of patient parameters that are substantially invariant during a treatment period. A measurement interface (120) receives dynamic patient data that includes values of patient parameters that change during the treatment period. A processing unit (150) determines a new current patient data set based on the currently available patient data immediately after receiving the patient data and initiates, triggered by the determination of the new current patient data set, a comparison between the values of the current patient data set and stored assignment rules from a rule memory. Based on the comparison, a recommended device setting (134) of the ventilator, in view of the current patient data set, is received from a rule memory unit. A recommendation is output based on a comparison with a current device setting.

  • Publication number: 20230263483
Abstract: A process coordinates the acoustic alarm signals output by different medical devices (1). A first medical device (1a) outputs, at a time interval before an output of a n acoustic alarm signal, a pre-signal which differs from the acoustic alarm signal with respect to at least one property. A further device receives the pre-signal output by the first medical device (1a) and carries out an analysis of the received pre-signal. As a function of a result of the analysis of the pre-signal, an alarm signal output unit (4) of a second medical device (1b) is driven in such a way that, as a function of the result of the analysis, at least one property of an alarm signal which is currently being output or will be output by the alarm signal output unit (4) is at least temporarily changed and/or a pre-signal is transmitted by the second medical device (1b).

Abstract: A system and process monitor a patient with an evaluation unit (1), a first interface (2) for receiving patient status values from a plurality of medical devices (3) to be available to the evaluation unit (1). The evaluation unit (1) generates a signal with patient-specific information based on the received patient status values and a further setpoint and/or actual value and transmits the signal to a receiver unit (5) via the first and/or a second interface (4). The evaluation unit (1) includes a suggestion module (6) that determines a suggested value which corresponds to a limit value for at least one patient status value based on the patient status values obtained from at least two medical devices (3) and the further setpoint and/or actual value, and to transmit this suggested value to the receiving unit (5) via the first and/or the at least one second interface (2, 4).

  • Patent number: 11135382
Abstract: A medical device is provided with an alarm organization. A process for alarm organization of a medical device is also provided. Based on pressure measured values and flow measured values and with a comparison criterion, it is determined whether an elevation of an airway pressure of an anesthesia device or of a ventilator is caused by a coughing event. • Patent number: 10821246
Abstract: A medical device determines operating situations and a method determines operating situations in a medical device. Based on pressure measured values (99) and flow measured values (97), it is determined whether an elevation of an airway pressure (105) in a medical device is due to a cough event (113) or to a plurality of cough events (117), which indicate an accumulation of secretion. An outputting (41, 42, 44) of a warning (44) or alarm (41, 42) is provided indicating the accumulation of secretion.

  • Patent number: 10821247
Abstract: A ventilator (1) determines states with cough attacks and an operating method for a ventilator determines cough attacks. It is determined on the basis of pressure measured values (13, 21, 19) and flow measured values (11, 15, 17) whether consecutive elevations of an airway pressure in a ventilator (1) are due to one cough event or due to a plurality of cough events. A plurality of cough events indicates a state of a cough attack. An output (41, 42, 44) of a warning (44) or alarm (42) is issued indicating the state.

  • Patent number: 10198931
Abstract: A method sends an alarm to persons (P1, P2, P3, P4, P5), who are located in an area of a warning device (1, 2, 3, 4, 5), as a function of request signals (S1, S2) of at least one alarm source (10, 11). Each warning device specifies current countdowns (S1C1, S1C2, S1C3, S1C4, S1C5, S2C1, S2C2, S2C3, S2C4, S2C5) for each alarm source. When a request signal is sent by one of the alarm sources, the corresponding countdowns of all warning devices that receive the request signal are started. The warning device, with a countdown that has come to an end, sends an alarm signal (S1A1, S1A2, S1A3, S1A4, S1A5, S2A1, S2A2, S2A3, S2A4, S2A5). A manual acceptance of the sent alarm signal by a person, who is located in the area of the warning device that sends the alarm signal, ends the started countdowns of the other warning devices.
